Tissako Sutta

In Sàvatthi

At that time the Blessed One was in seclusion after the midday meal.

Then Subrahma the independent brahma and an independent brahma of the pure abodes approached the Blessed One and one stood outside the gate.

Then the independent brahma of the pure abodes said this in the presence of the Blessed One on account of the bhikkhu:

(Katamodaka Tissaka:)

"Do those who think limitlessly of themselves, think wisely?

Those thinking limitlessly are hemmed in, with the foolish."
